Ride in Control
RideSmart motorcycle school has been teaching
riders how to ride in control beyond highway
speeds in a totally unique way.
Although the Motorcycle Safety Foundation
schools are absolutely the best first step for
any rider, their limiting factor is you do not
reach or go beyond highway speeds. Conducting a
riding school on public streets and highways
exposes the instructor and students to too many
life endangering risks to be viable.
We
here at RideSmart have found a way to blend the
best of both worlds. We have solved the issue of
teaching on public highways by conducting our
schools on various race tracks throughout Texas.
Why does RideSmart use this approach? Because
the only way you can create a safe controlled
environment is by eliminating the bad variables
such as oncoming traffic, road debris, pets,
etc. RideSmart maintains a strict safety
regiment by deploying corner workers at
strategic points around the race track. Safe
riding standards and general track safety are
their main concern. |

Street Riders
First time students are
encouraged to participate in mentoring activities such as the track
walk. The track walk will introduce points of interest such as adhesion,
camber and surface conditions.
Intermediate Riders
Intermediate and more
experienced riders are encouraged to take advantage of instructor
pairing. This is where an individual instructor while on the track will
mentor a group of three to five students.
Licensed Racers
Licensed racers take to the track first at all RideSmart events. Open
practice is available for licensed racers to get you the track time you
need. Drop your lap times during a good day of practice. Have fun with
your fellow racers.

BikeCam/DVD
Ride
smart is now offering bike cam footage of your
on-track riding for only $25.
There
are several reasons that make this footage useful
and a great value:
The instructor records your riding on digital
camcorder and provides feedback on where to improve
your line.
The
camera records your body position and any movement.
You have all the other students to compare your line
and body position.
You
have a documentary for the day. We include track
side footage and we cherry pick frames from the
footage and create several slide shows. The footage
is also used in the classroom as an instructing
tool. It is a great documentary for the event.
